The main components of KILIMS are proposed as follows:
- Planning to procurement – an Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) linked module that that links planning, policy objectives and budget allocation.
- Procurement to contracting – a module that standardizes contract creation using set of terms, conditions, and legal language that applies to sets and subsets of contracts. Depending on the nature of the contract and level of government.
- Contracting to approval – Secure two-way interface between the government body and the state law office for checks, verification, and approval of contract release.
